Wearing Yukata hastily before you leave contributes to make it come loose easily. Practice how to wear it in advance and take time for one hour at least. You can of course dress Yukata in 30 minutes when you get used to.

When you do your hair

If you fix your hair by yourself, do it before wearing Yukata. After wearing, Yukata comes undone or spoiled easily.

Check Yukata beforehand

Put the Yukata on a hanger a day ahead and check if it gets wrinkled. Iron the wrinkeles.

Do not forget to check the items needed to dress Yukata. It is convenient to use a full-length mirror.

25. After straightening the Ohashori, put the Date-jime. This is a type attached with sash.
Hold the Date-jime on the right side.

26. Place the broad part of Date-jime in front.

27. Cross the ends of sash in the back, bring the ends in front to tie. It is not necessary to tie too tight.

28. Tie the same as Koshihimo. Tuck the ends in the side. Now you are ready!

31. If you use only Koshihimo, put it in front, wind and cross on the back.
Do not tie too tight.
Since it is not very comfortable to fasten with inelastic Koshihimo, we do not advise this technique.

32. Tie the same as Koshihimo. Tuck the ends in the side. Dressing the Yukata is completed.

An obi shall be tied on Date-jime.
If you are going to tie an obi by yourself, you will form the obi in front and rotate it to the back. It is easy to rotate smoothly on Date-jime.
