Men's Yukata
Heko-obi
About Heko-obi
If you are beginner for dressing Yukata, Heko-obi is recommended to wear by yourself.
The material is the same as Sanjaku-obi for kids and has about 3.7 meters.
It is so-called bow knot, so tie it tightly to avoid coming loose.
Point
Knot of Obi for men should be on hipbone and placed slightly shift from the center of the back.
1. Place the centre of the obi just under the navel, cross it to the back through on the hipbone.
2. Place the back of Obi a little higher and bring both ends in front. Pull both ends tightly.
3. Tie it once in front. Pull tightly not to come loose.
4. Make a bowknot. First, make a loop with the end of left side.
5. Put the right side Tare on it.
6. Pass the obi on top through the knot. With a knot tied as thin as possible, you can make a floaty cute ribbon.
7. Adjust the size of both loops to be balanced.
8. Rotate the obi clockwise, and move the knot to the back.
The knot should be shifted from the center.
If the length of the ends is different, pass the longer one from below the ribbon upwards and cover the knot flowingly.
